so is this on emulated steam or could people on actual steam play on the server? because they have fixtf2 which is an odd thing to have in your name if playing on emulated steam version, also love how showed ch0ww is in css yet the person is playing tf2 which is why im asking the above question, plus their emu steam name isnt the same as the one on tf2, if actual steam users could play with emu steam users then thats a major milestore achieved. i love how the game in 2007/2011 plays completely different then it does now, still bogs my mind people dont know that community servers still exists.

I've built a retro pc from my old parts a few years back. Pentium II-400, 128MB Ram, 3.2 GB hdd, windows 98, tseng et6000, diamond voodoo 3dfx, sony 15" trinitron crt from 1996, asus p2b motherboard, sound blaster awe 64, strictly no internet. I fully share the excitement of retro :)

Hi man, how did you get the old Steam clients to work on a virtual machine? How to log in, how do purchases work in that client? Assuming this would be a problem, because Steam restarts and immediately checks for an update before running. And an offline mode wasn't released until 2004.

Hey do any of you guys know how i can have games installed using the built-in 2008 client that comes with Steam Server Emulator? I read online that i need GCF files and stuff but i really don't know where to find them and this has been a major headache. Thanks!
